Micky Announces Candidacy To Become A Director

Yes but a board with a good stronghold is crucial to the success of the club...We cant have a situation where a board and/or management are threatened by a few disenchanted fans...Or by a challenge of ownership by greedy egotistiacl souls with just self interest as a reason.. (not talking about Mo here btw before anyone gets the wrong end of the stick, it could just as easily be someone we "all" dont desire, but who may have the money and know how to take out a weak board...

A few disenchanted fans you plonker did you see how many are against this board. We will not go away this is our club and we will win in the end its up to the board to listen what the majority want.

Maybe Micky is thinking only of this season's signings and simply does not understand / hasn't listened to / hasn't researched / doesn't care about the profound implications this decision may have for PVFC. LB's summary is clear to anyone who reads it. However, Micky may decide to bury his head in the sand regarding long-term impediments.

What do you mean by this.

If he wants to get involved upstairs as well as down stairs, then why not.

He shouldnt read too much into the 30/40 souls on here and a few people who want to take over, as they have agendas.

4/5000 fans will be more than happy to have him do as he sees fit...

These directors don't care how much damage they do as long as they stay in power. Only at vale could it be possible for the vast majority of shareholders to vote out a director, yet have him sponsor a puppet back on within a week! You really couldn't make this up! If shareholders vote this in (and that would include judas Lee) then the mind just boggles.

Dont know where little comes from, did you not read TLB`s post? They have no control at all unless someone joins them.

I agree but the sad fact is, and I've posted elsewhere, that if MS and NLV's rep join the board then when votes take place they will be on a 3-2 basis, Ameriturf on board, shares bought by anyone that the board agrees to etc, etc. I appreciate that we would be better represented but all decisions at board level will still get through in their favour.

If MS and the NLV rep decide not to join then they'll go to an EGM and vote someone in using Meighs proxy, the only difference by getting MA on board is the method of using the postal vote-they don't have to face the fans again in an EGM.

It really does stink and flys in the face of the shareholders who voted them off and sould be part of the "fans consultation" but did anyone really expect anything less from these *******s?

The majority of fans and shareholders are against the board. There is statistically relevant evidence to back that up. You have no evidence to deny it.

Dear OVF,

I have come to the conclusion that PVFC is one of a kind !

A chairman who was a CEO.

A manager who wants to be a director.

I know of no other sensibly run business, whether in football or otherwise, where such unusual practices would be allowed and where the potential for conflict of interest so self-evident.

It seems the more I delve into the workings of PVFC the more it seems back to front.

A healthy business needs clear lines of delineation between Board and CEO, Board and Manager (or Employees), CEO and Manager (or Employees). This ensures proper hierarchy, order and accountability. To allow a merging of these roles is to create confusion and uncertainty.

Regards

His job is to win games, if not, like most managers get rid, just like at Sheffield. Oh no. I am here for life. Get used to losing. 90% of fans us do not want that, including people who have season tickets.

Completely agree. What is the club going to do just wait in limbo all summer? This would allow Mickey to bring in players over the summer, players that we badly need.

To be fair Bill Bratt should have called an EGM way before the end of the season. He waited until NLV forced him to call one and then stated that he was going to call one anyway and then arranges it at the last possible day.

Bill Bratt was never going to call an EGM and he did his utmost to ensure that the EGM that was called was cancelled, delayed or postponed, every avenue that he went do draw a blank and he failed. When he did finally call it he waited until the last possible moment and over the longest possible time and now GO, Bratt and Adams are complaining that it's effecting preseason ***.

He couldn't even get the resolutions that the club wanted to vote on because he hadn't got a clue what he was doing. In the end he made it look like the club was doing everyone a favour when in fact he would have screwed us all if he wasn't so incompetent himself.

No Micky, you have just come back to the club you abandoned mid season, you have a lot to make up to the fans. This will end in tears The fan base will turn against you and there will be no further season ticket sales.

You could even find more dramatic actions are taken on match days such as sit-ins. If you become a board puppet no matter how sucessfull you are on the pitch you will be a villain and treated as such. Stick to football mate.
