Reported/Recorded rapes are up...victims are now more inclined to come forward..although it may still be the case that the actual number of crimes is up

if you think so and you sound like a simon pure,i used slang for lesbian so what, did you run the gauntlet of rabid lesbo's outside jollees when there was a gentlemans night,sceaming rapist at everyone who entered. One of them who was built like a brick er outhouse had more tattoo's than Mark Richards so if reading slang takes you out of your comfort zone there's little i can do about it.

Since when did any football club have moral fibre and the guts to react to public opinion? Where football's concerned, the rules of propriety relevant to the 'real' world just seem to go by the board! Most fans too, are only bothered about their team's results. He'll be back playing somewhere soon, even if it's not at Sheff Utd.

Unfortunately you are spot on.fans might boycott for a while, but they will go back.

Same as Hughes (not the crime), in footballing terms it would be a gr8 signing.morally, horrible.personally I wouldn't want him.

The circumstances of the case just don't really add up. It seems more a case of guilty until proven innocent than the opposite. I feel the high profile nature and huge pressure from rape campaigners etc played a big part in the sentence. 100,000+ people signing a pertition that he can't work after he serves his time is unnecessary salt in the wounds.

And what about the fact that he walks back into the career he had without a care in the world whilst that girl has probably had her confidence battered, is that not rubbing unnecessary salt in the wounds?
