Neil Aspin in frame for Carlisle manager's job

Neil Aspin is in the frame for the vacant manager's job at Carlisle, anyone think he could one day be a replacment for Adams?

Personally I wouldn't want him as Vale manager, when you look back at the abuse the Dean Glover had to put up with, soiled the memory of a great player; eventually most managers fail and get sacked then people will forget what a fantastic player Aspo was....

Aspo is a different kettle of fish to Glover who had no track record of any kind as a manager. Everywhere that Aspin has managed he's had success beyond what you might expect. He also has a good eye for a player (a bit like Rudgie) and when they're picked up by bigger clubs, he manages to replace them (Vardy and Gregory being two good examples). Aspin is a winner and, IMHO, he is destined for even more success. We'll see.

Previoulsy former Vale players have got jobs at vale (or been suggested for jobs) cos they are former Vale players..Aspin has built up a managerial track record so hopefully he gets the job cos of that (should he ever get the Vale job)

I can't disagree with any of the above, I do keep an eye on the results of Halifax and Harrogate before that, I just wouldn't want the great man's memory tarnished.
