Release Mohammed he his **** at football a **** poor signing from Adams thread closed.

 

His pace alone should be enough to do someone a job somewhere.......just not at this level.

 

Any manager - and not just in football - will tell you that you need to take chances sometimes. Some come off, others don't. This is one that didn't and I for one don't blame Micky for taking it.

Showing your age there youth, he was even a bit before my time!

 

Best one I can remember (personal opinion, of course) was Ernie Moss. Great header of the ball and great leader of the forward line. Pity we only had his services towards the end of his career.

 

As for Kaid, it's just one of those things. When we signed him I thought great, a good replacement for the conceited Ashley Vincent. Mickey must have thought the same but it turned out differently; it happens to every manager, even Fergie signed some duffers. Good luck to Kaid, it just hasn't worked out for him at Vale.

 

Ernie Moss is a good shout and more recently Steve Brooker,who could also be trusted to hold the ball up front.

Mohamed obviously didnt work out. I suspect he didnt fit in from the very start.

To slag the guy off is poor though. Horses for courses. And Vale Park isnt his course.

More of a concern would be Gavin Tomlin, who came in at the same time with a very good goals to games ratio in league 2 and hasnt produced the goods.

Two very poor signings from Micky last summer.

The problem with Tomlin is that he'll be 31 I think next season which is quite old for the type of game he plays.

 

He flatters to deceive for me, and he visibly starts to flag in games, after about an hour you know his race isrun and we need to take him off. He's also one of those players who tends to score in bursts then go dry, so his goals to games ratio doesn't tell the full story.
