I stand to be corrected as my daughter always goes on about it... But we think this is the 6th consecutive season !!!!

They were relegated, so played in a different Div, the Conference.

For me, Brentford were and remain the most impressive team to visit Vale Park this season, what a welcome to league 1 that was on that glorious sunny day, they were a fantastic passing display and I was so proud and happy to come away with the draw

Clubs will be looking for their first game away at Vale Park with those stats

Brentford we're decent against us but nothing on Swindon in that 2nd half. Although Crewe looked quality against us as well!

The way we played that day we'd have made the Dog & Duck look quality! One of our worst efforts of the season and what a time to choose for it.

 

TBH I think we've seen some very decent sides in this division this season, although there are a few down at the bottom who are well short of the rest, eg, Shrewsbury / Stevenage & the like. We've had some very ropey performances and some excellent ones and I'm quite impressed at us being 8th with three games left when we've been so inconsistent.

 

When we played away at Brentford I was chatting to some of their fans and said they're the team I'd like us to be and I still think that, they're a 'complete package' who are strong all over the pitch and play football that's lovely to watch. Thing is they've got a lot more money to throw at it than us :(

 

This summer is going to be massive for us and could see some huge changes, a real crossroads.

Didn't see the Swindon game but Brentford and Brighton in the FA Cup are the best two sides I've seen at Vale Park this season.Both of them play football the way I like it to be played.
