We are were we are. Maybe we should have stuck with the council and some arrogant old men who were at least Vale supporters.

 

Here we go again. You mean the old men who lied, refused to follow their own charter, used fans for their own ends and then took us to the brink because they took us to the point where they couldn't even put us into administration. The most corrupt and disgusting people to ever run our club. We didn't 'not stick with them', they gripped on for dear life, they took us to the brink. To even suggest we should have kept them shows how deluded you are. For one we wouldn't be in this league. And two we wouldn't exist. But you might have got a nice seat next to mar mate, so that would be nice.

I don't think there are any clubs who've won anything without being bankrolled by someone with money. There are probably some clubs that have achieved stasis without being bankrolled, Torquay come to mind as a club that haven't had massive investment but who've maintained their football league status hence it could be said they've achieved something.

Wigan were more an example of a non-league club rising to near the top of the Prem with the backing of a lot of money, same as Wimbledon who I don't think had so much backing, but also won the FA Cup.
