A lesson for Mo

Twitters

Recommended Posts

Two months ago, Labour were streets ahead in the opinion polls and were on course to be the biggest party in Holyrood, where Scotland's devolved Parliament is based.

The next two months they campaigned negatively, saying vote us in to keep the nasty Tories out. The SNP didn't. They said vote us in and we will do this, this and this. They led a very positive campaign with no bitching.

The result? An SNP landslide and something never thought possible under Scottish PR, a one party majority.

Stay positive Mo, the mudslinging from the board will come back to haunt them as it did Labour.

It's a little bit different when one party already holds 29% of the vote, plus an abstain from the majority shareholder. The board don't care how they look in the public eye, they are playing on those who are anti change and are only after achieving " enough " votes to remain.

They aren't as thick as they seem, it's those that vote for them that are !

God forbid they stay but IF that happens their joy will be gone the next day when they have minimal ST sales, no cash to pay the players, tax man, numerous loans, no cash for a decent manager!? And all this because there's NO WAY they can allow them there books to be opened!.......:(

Simple we 'Starve them out'......Unless they can get enough investment to cover their losses, we head for admin. :(

Yes good move that

If they win the vote they win the vote that's called democracy.

I will use my vote for change but I will not back Starve them Out this is the most ridiculous campaign I have ever come across.

If more of you were shareholders and put your money where your mouth is you would have nothing to worry about.

Mark Sim's is a Vale fan, he put his money where his mouth is and the board rejected his investment.

So it's democracy yes, but on the terms of our minority board.

If they only stay in power by voting themselves in and Robbie abstaining.

IHAD......Desperate times desperate measures. This present Board have had plenty of time to seek investment and plenty of oppotunity to accept investment......The trouble is THEY will only accept investment as long as they are still here and spending it. Question, if you could afford to pump a few million much needed money in this Club would you allow the present Board to manage your money.

Yes to a point i agree with you views on SEO but nearly 2000 people who have signed the pledge can not all be wrong.

As i said desperate times desperate measures.

I am a shareholder and i did put my money where my mouth is and i am not happy with these people i helped to trust the future of our club. I am $hitting it about how low these fools will take the club. They were elected and they have done everything to cling onto power, some of it illegal IMHO.

Very sensible post for me.

Say what! A democracy!?

The old Soviet Union was called a peoples' democracy. There are many countries still today called 'Democratic Republic' of whatever. But they are only democratic in the executive power. Changes to national policy are said to be the voice of vox populi, but more often were and still are against the will of the people.

Not quite the same as an English football club I'll agree, but to say shareholders of Port Vale F.C. can influence change when our 'Board contrive to circumvent such democracy is, in my opinion, oximoronic.

I'm a shareholder and like many Valiants - shareholders or not - invest variously and substantially in our 'Club.

I know where my mouth is. Trouble is, the 'Board seems not to want to know, and that is why I am worried.
