After the EGM

Recommended Posts

If the board loses power, what happens to their shares?

They still have them unless a sale is agreed. Charles Machin still has his as far as I know?

Chaudry offered to buy them out in his original offer, I'm not sure if Mo would consider this again if he got in to 'get rid of them' once and for all for want of a better phrase!?

Does anyone else think that the only thing worse for the Board than losing the vote at the EGM would be winning it? They would have to actually do something then to take the club forward financially rather than sitting around fiddling while Rome burns. Could they cope?!

Exactly what my owd man said yesterday.

If the board cling onto power at the EGM, do they honestly think all fans will suddenly fall into line, buy STs and respect them again?

There will surely be even more hatred towards them if this scenario unfolds.

They can't hide forever.

I have already written in another thread that I will not enter Port Vale ground as long as these idiots are in command.

I live in Crewe, only five minutes away from the trainspotters gound but can not see myself becoming a fan of theirs.

Maybe I will attend some away games of the vale's and just watch football on the T.V.

The useless Vale board have sickened me and I feel utterly dejected and miserable.

Here's hoping that the E.G.M. goes well, that common sense prevails and things turn out right for club, share holders and supporters.

Far fom cling to power, they will win by a ladslide.

Board hold £330k+ (I believe, please correct me if I'm wrong)

Anti-Board guestimate = £200k (this is the amount that agreed to use their shareholding to help NLV call the EGM, so I would imagine it's about the number with strong enough feelings to attend EGM and vote against the board)

Broxap = £50k (hoping they they vote board off and don't abstain)

Pro-Board guestimate = £50k (I've gone for a figure of 20% of those attending EGM to be pro-board)

so board get £380K

anti-board £250k

As always, apathy is the killer.

Robbie is the key.

Sadly i think MrSmith is right! Lloyd is perhaps the only one who may not block vote on everything as he is a bit of a snake in grass. Although obviously he isn't going to vote himself off when it's his turn!

It would be interesting to know if Dave Smith, Mike Thompstone, Paul Humphreys amounts were pledged on the NLV survey. Charles Machin has 12-15K too doesn't he?

"All fans" very rarely fall into line...At any club...

Ask Arsene Wenger, The Glazers, Roy Hodgson, Andy Carroll etc etc...

The simple truth is that "most fans" will not fall out of line...

I can think of 157 reasons why they already have. I see you are in denial just like the board

Bratt 8,834 shares

Jackson/Meigh 30,000

Humphreys 4,807

Meigh 10,004

Oliver 6,212

Thompstone 2,800

Lloyd 10,000

Mudie 100

Broxpap 10,000

Mudie will most likely vote with the board but there's no guarantee how Mike T or Paul H will vote, and who knows about Broxap. That is the kind of votes that we need on side.

I find it a sad indictment how Bratt can spout how he does and has control of the club(obviously with the others) all for less than 45K! Yet they turn down millions in investment like flicking the flies off a ****!

The 50K to be a director rule is also a joke when only Jackson, Meigh and Lloyd have enough technically!(I know the rule was made after most invested). Even our learned chairman is 6K short!

Like I've said before the way PVFC is set up is a nightmare!

Guest Tony Dyche

Its best not to speculate about Broxap. Robert Lee is not daft, but he will make his own mind up and cannot be swayed.

Speculation over his vote and attempts to win his vote may have the opposite effect.

Best to leave him alone to come to his own conclusions in my opinion.

Isn't Mike T on the proposed interim board if V2001 lose? Taking that and his criticism of V2001 into account, I would be astounded if he did anything but vote the board out. I'm sure Mudie will still back the Furtive 5, Humphreys is the one it's hard to call. I don't think he'll back the board - otherwise, why quit? - but I'm not sure we can count on his vote for change. Fingers crossed!
