  1. People have been told a whole load of fairy stories over the past couple of years. With Vale don’t go with what you’re told, go with what you see.
  2. Which league 1 clubs would be lining up to give him a chance?
  3. That’s the 2014-15 season squad. We were in league 1 for that. Veseli never played for us in league 2. Birchall didn’t either.
  4. It’s a medium sized local business. You make it sound like she is Branson or somebody, the latter lest we forget has lost billions on failed businesses.
  5. A business is only as good as its product and the people around it. Synetics offers a service people need and Carol is very good at leading that. People pay money equals successful business. Doesn’t mean she is actually good at running a business per se. Vale is a crap product that fewer want to buy because the people around it are awful. It wouldn’t matter if Elon Musk owned Vale if it was the same squad of dire players and clownish support staff. Difference is, Musk would probably spend the money on better players. Doesn’t make him a better businessman, just one with the better means to do so.
  6. We win this, but it will all be in vain with the inevitable stuffing against Bolton coming right up! I think we will take it to the final day, but frankly who even sees a win against Cambs as enough? Burton parked the bus and fought against Stevenage, something we only needed to do for 45 mins v Exeter.
  7. Debt on good players is great. If we had £3m of losses and a successful team that’s more valuable, you have more chance of balancing the books through cup success and sales. Players cost the money in football because they are the greatest asset at making it. Buildings do nothing, unless they generate money. Most Vale fans will pay their £26/27 quid regardless of the stadium if the players are good. If they are not, fewer will.
  8. I’ve had a look, but I can not find a financial period where we have managed bigger losses? Could it be, that these are the biggest losses in our history? Under Carol? Our competent saviour who is running the club well? Surely not?
  9. For us…I’d agree, but away days still have had some good ones.
  10. Not just horrible football to watch, but also the matchday atmosphere is largely far worse worse.
  11. I think the idea is, if you have to go to the club shop tills to buy a ticket, you might fancy buying else from the shop along with it.
  12. The sad reality is the club has had as many bizarre decisions that we saw under Smurfwaite. It may be wrapped in the cuddly, warm quilt of community clubs and self styled saviour nonsense, but things like Flitcroft, President Robbie, poor summer funding for strikers, dreadful January windows, irate letters to fans are pure Smurfwaite level errors. What we really need is a board of investors with real knowledge who can truly scrutinize decisions being made. Having a DOF as a director in Flitcroft was madness. We basically gave him the right to mark his own homework!
  13. Meanwhile Deklan Wynne is picking up his first week’s wages. Another example of us using resources well. We won’t see him in the squad this season, let alone in the starting 11. Whatever he is getting, it will be free money to him.
  14. The only positive memory I have of today, is at least Uche was up for the fight. He battled for everything and tried to get the crowd going. He is the only one who showed a character of a winner. He should be made captain, showed real leadership.
  15. Patrick is a gormless idiot who knows nothing about football. He’d barely be able to get a job cleaning toilets if he didn’t have his mum around. The club is run like a village green cricket club. Stick anyone in with connections or who the owner likes. Moore was hired because it seems he was the nicest man.
  16. Smurfwaite ran the club better. Sorry, but he did. He never ran up 3m losses and although the football was crap, it was a cheaper form of crap.
  17. I feel sorry for Crosby because it is very clear that I could never, ever imagine if a team of his was 2-0 up at half time, they would go on to lose 4-2.
  18. Carol doesn’t care. As long as we have decent caterers in the Robbie, that’s all that matters. Speaking of our devine president, I see he remains as big a committed fan as ever…
  19. Sang is a useless tugger. Bunch of non league, chancers getting pro money. They have no character, they are a bunch of sad losers. This 2nd half makes Peterborough on Wednesday look like a committed fight.
  20. Don’t worry, our saviour will save us by leveraging more debt in the club’s name to her.
  21. What a load of embarrassing rubbish. £3m worth of losses for this. Moore standing there with his hands in his pockets. Having a tug probably.
  22. To be honest, they just seem a team frozen by fear. 2-0 and we were playing freely, came out for the second half looking scared to win.
  23. Bloody hell. Are they on a bonus for a relegation? Looks like it.
  24. Starting to look very ropey at the back. Can’t believe Oxford a stuffing the seemingly invincible Peterborough 4-0 either…
