Vincent bombed at Colchester, injuries and form, I would have thought the chance of some stability would have encouraged him to accept the decent rise he was offered..

I find his decision to leave very strange though. For a new club now theyll be looking at him as injury prone & inconsistent. A strong season at Vale next year would have seen him pushing for a Championship/strong league 1 team. As it is I think he'll be playing league 2 football next season.

I can't think of any other reason for him leaving than greed. He has done a massive favour by leaving. Second half of the season was without doubt the worst player

Agreed, and we wonder why players do leave when that's the kind of garbage spouted about them.........when will fans ever learn?

Good luck to him but he hasn't really made much of an impact since Christmas in my view.

Strange. If he did turn the revised 2 year deal down to opt for the Ryder contract it looks like leaving was the plan all along.

 

After the way Vincent fell away after Christmas (probably before to be fair) I think I'd have only been slightly disappointed if he'd left and we were still in league 2. The fact that we are in league 1 you'd have to say thank you and good luck but we probably need better, definitely more consistent and certainly a better overall injury record.

Evans as already said that they aren't interested, so no on that score. Then again, Evans is a big fat lying cheat, so who knows?.
