50 years on - NOT renewing my Season Ticket till the Jackson 5 have gone.

 

Are you sure i think it was ted callard who scored 2 and yes in those days we played in black and amber my favorite strip.

Alas, I am slightly out. The 7-0 v Halifax Town was December 1959.

I remember us losing 7-1 at Huddersfield in 1979...went to both the Barnet and Hartlepool games - happy times, also went to the Nowich game.

I'll have to put on my thinking cap for the date, but I do remember in the early 50s being with my dad in the Hamil end the day we beat Stockport County 7-0 :)

As I walked to my seat yesterday some blurt shouted "Vale, you're sh**" we hadn't even kicked off, in fact the sponsors were only just congregating in the centre circle for their photograph. Unbelievable!!

Most goals ever scored in a competitive match at Vale Park?

47 years of supporting the Vale and miss the game where for first time in over 50 years that we score seven goals. Saw both the 6-0 against Barnet and Hartlepool. Still can't quite believe it having seen the dross served up at Vale Park in the majority of the previous 22 league games.

We won 8nil Gateshead December 26th 1958, played there the next day won 4nil, that was the first year the fourth division was formed, we scored 110 goals that season and won the 4th division championship.

can't stop watching the goals over and over again just shows the pressure as got to the players the last month or 2. some fantastic well taken goals dodds 3rd goal was amazing. we have got players who can score goals we have got to get the right manager in this time to bring those goals out and take the pressures of football of the players and let them play to the best of there ability.

i think that was the first time there as been 9 goals scored in a competitive match in vale parks history.
