Mick Philpott

For Us All

Recommended Posts

Harold shipman had a good job. JK Rowling was a single mum claiming benefits. So using the gutter medias logic this proves....oh yes, absolutely nothing.

I'm quite sure Peter Sutcliffe only committed murder when in employment too. He 'took a break' from it in mid to late 1976 when he was out of work. But it's those benefit scroungers you need to keep an eye out for, they'll stab you for a deep-fried pie sandwich.

Despicable father Mick Philpott who killed his 6 children,is sentenced to life imprisonment, which means a mimimum of 15 years. Not long enough in my opinion.

Views and opinions please.

No where near long enough he should rot & die in jail.

SCUM OF THE EARTH is paying him a compliment.

15 years !!! What a joke !!

Buster Edwards got 30 years for robbing a train !.

So much rubbish on this thread. Lets look at the facts:

- He wasn't getting £55k in benefits. He wasn't getting any benefits.

- The two families in that house weren't benefit-scroungers; the two women were working. They received working tax credits, as does anyone in low-paid work.

- His wife and girlfriend were paid child benefit, as is anyone with children unless they're rich.

- Their rent was topped up with housing benefit, which they never saw a penny of because it's paid directly to their landlord (which I believe the Tories are changing to hand the money to the claimant).

- Mick Philpott was extorting money from his wife and girlfriend. The fact that some of their money came from benefits does not matter.

- He didn't have 17 children for the child benefit, he had 17 children because he was a serial abuser of women and liked to control them by keeping them pregnant.

So this isn't actually a story about a benefit cheat. He was a wife beater, attempted murderer, and probable tax evader, but anyone who uses this case as evidence that the welfare state is ****ed is delluded.

Excellent post

Pretty much all true although I don't think he's been labelled a bebefit cheat; indeed for many the issue seems to be that all this was legal as far as the benfits he lived on so the system perhaps needs questioning for allowing such legal activity

Personally, I see their situation as highly unusual (probably unique) and so should not be used to tarnish any other families that are reliant on benefits...he was a complete ******* who used everyone and everything for himself ruthlessly.
