Predict

Just thought would be interesting if anyone fancies predicting the final few games of the season and seeing where Vale and everyone else place based on this. Only takes a few seconds and the link is http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_3/predictor/default.stm

See what the range is from the optimists to the pessimists. Sure i'll get some stick and someone will go on about the board but is just a bit of light hearted fun.

I got us in 5th too, goal difference stopping us from getting auto promotion. But that was with 4 wins and a draw, huge ask! Although tbh think anywhere between 10th and 5th is highly feasible. I have almost given up, but a lot of the teams around us have to play each other and this league is so inconsistent! I agree on accrington too, fancy them for a bit of a spurt for the rest of the season!

1.Chesterfield

2.Bury

3.Shrewsbury

4.Wycombe

5.Gillingham

6.Accrington Stanley

7.Torquay

8.Stevenage

9.Port Vale

10.Oxford

That's better than I predicted a few weeks and only because Oxford have been inconsistent and Rotherham have gone to pieces. I have us losing at Torquay, a win there and we would swap places with them.

I find the last day of the season Very interesting & although I'm bias towards Vale all our closest opponents seem to be playing each other on this important day (well hopefully) this could be where we slip back in at 6th or 7th.

This pending on us winning one of the other difficult away games & of course both home games........tough ask given current form but who know's lets see what this Sat brings first.........MY heart says Yes but my head says mmmmmmm i don't think so!!!:shutup::unsure::shutup:

Vale drawing at Torquay only means they will need to win at Stevenage. On the basis that Vale beat Stockport, Morecambe and even Barnet (which will be a tough ask how they are playing) I have Vale finishing 3 points short of seventh. (losing to Stevenage)

Doesn't look good and I think we are hoping for major miracles really. Then again, if Vale beat Torquay it would paint a different picture. But we all know, let's face it, it probably aint gonna happen.

What a dissapointing end to what looked a great campaign.:(
