A possible moral outrage

Criticism is just that. It is not an attempt to undermine but to ensure that things that don't seem right are highlighted and debated. If the matter concerned can be justified, then all the better. But if we have concerns we are entitled to express them.

I think the two topics discussed here are not mutually exclusive.

Can fans criticise Begbies and Bob Young and support the club moving forward. The answer is YES.

BY may well have been led up the garden path by Keith Ryder. However, at the end of the day he has been the one managing the situation. BY is the one who has let us get to within two weeks of the start of the season before preparing for Plan B and ending KR exclusivity. Should he be criticised for that? Absolutely.

Should fans waste energy on recriminations. No, but that doesn't mean in the context of a first SC meeting for some time that supporters should not have a limited amount of time to air grievances and to hear explanations from BY. I am sure the SC can manage that very well, as it did when it gave time to Mike Lloyd at a meeting that was about the future of club?

I can't make the meeting tomorrow but am waiting eagerly to see how I might be able to assist going forward into the new season. I have matches when I am not working and that I can attend. I am willing to volunteer to help in whatever way I can to give BY the confidence to start the season. It sounds like Plan B/C/D etc are non-starters. AFC Wimbledon organize their match days around volunteers and I'm sure they would be willing to offer advice based on their experiences?

Will Vale fans step up to the plate? Definitely 'we are Vale'

Remember unity is not the same as uniformity of thought.
