As ever, this website's gaffer made some very good points. It would have been interesting to have had Carol there to answer the concerns Rob raised but I suspect it will be a long time before we hear from her in person again.

My guess is we'll see an AI-generated hologram of Carol on the scoreboard at some stage.

Carol will come on the scoreboard in full colour and wag a finger at the fans.  Saying "You have all been naughty naughty boys and girls picking on my Flickers.  He has been bullied by you all for doing a very poor - I mean a very good job.  You are all to sit on the naughty step for 5 minutes and think about what you have done wrong" in that mum voice we all know when being told off.

Oh and by the way, we have gone with the cheap option manager wise.  He/She hasn't managed before, but is a friend of Flickers.
