Lol , I reckon Jones and Loft speak highly of Fraudcroft as well , especially given the contracts they were given #  Baffling.😬

You can add Richard Thomas Bennett, to the list of those who’ve pinched a living from the club.

As Smurthwaite said "football is a village" maybe our DOFs reputation discourages players from signing.

Probably not. I think the lack of a big wage is probably a greater detriment. There was a big argument when I suggest a decent striker needed wages of 6-8k a week in the division, with many reckoning good guys could be had for 3-4k.

In 2003 maybe.

The figures you are quoting are Chamionship wages surely?

It would have to be based on what revenue the club can possibly achieve after Season Ticket sales etc. Vale couldnt compete with Portsmouth or Derby therefore

If players are on more than 3k at this club they need to go

Let's cast our minds back to February 2022 when Carol delivered a lecture at Staffs Uni on how to develop a successful football business.... look at where we are now...

There are barely any strikers in the Championship on even 6-8k . The average wage across all positions is £7,000 a week. I would think £3k per would barely buy you a league 2 striker these days. Lee Hughes, in the Smurf era was getting £6k per week off us in league 2, 10 years or so ago!

Portsmouth or Derby have players on approaching £10k a week in some cases. Trouble is, it appears we are barely competing with Cheltenham.

Garrity is easily worth over £3k per week and Uche must have been on at least that. Certainly Wilson must be. The biggest drain is likely to be Loft. Would easily be on £3k and possibly in excess of that.

We had a very decent bid for a player accepted.  Money is not the factor for failure this January.

What shirt number does he wear for us?

Oxford have wingers on £8k a week and one player off with depression on £10k a week.  What did we used to pay Tom Pope in his wonder season? £6k?

You are so wrong with that statement.

If Loft is the biggest drain on wages, you have to include Wilson & Uche in that. How many goals between Wilson & Uche?  Yet, its always Loft that gets signalled out.

All three of them should be in the same category

Salary Sport (don't know how credible they are,  however other sites are posting similar figs) only have the following 4 players over £3k -  Uche (£4500),  Ojo (£4300), Grant (£3400) and Massey (£3200), all others on less than £3k. Loft is meant to be on £2700 and Wilson £2100.

We won't know players wage budget until next accounts (believed to be 18th highest budget by Baggers, which is also reflected on different on line sites) and doubt if you'd  know a players actual wage unless you saw their wage slip.

Erm no. Wilson has given us years of respectable and decent performances and still scored a stunner V Blackpool.

Loft has ran around a bit. No comparison.

Obviously, leave Uche again.

Wilson's been pretty much injured or non existent in our 2 years so far in League one
