I though Griff was outstanding in the centre. He really has improved so much. A complete man mountain. His passing is also a lot better than people give him credit for

 

Oh dear........ I love griff, hes honest and hard working, but lacks any real quality. He slowed all of our play down today, hence the reason Adams took him off. When you are playing against 10 men, the tempo is very imoprtant. You have to move the ball quickly and move the opposition around as they put 10 men behind the ball & play deep. Griff didn't do this all game. He cant see a pass, and when he does its either too late or poorly executed and loses possesion.

 

When Morsey came on he really picked the tempo up and we looked a better side.

 

 

Fantastic post. Absolutely bang on about Griff and I wish more Vale fans could see it. Not saying he's a bad player but his limitations are so obvious in games like yesterday.

Griff has been subbed the last 2 or 3 home games,which never happened before, i'm just wondering if he's the player who's agreed to join Exeter next season.

 

It wouldn't surprise me if it was Dodds:yes:,it appears Preston want him so who knows,could be.

Could be, just thought it odd that Griff has started to get subbed since around the time this story came to light.

The second time this season I've taken the family from York to see the vale, and 2 wins (including the 4-0 Aldershot result).

 

I agree with some of you though that although we moved the ball around well, we seemed to stutter going forward into their box. Many fans in the family area were urging them to 'go at them' when instead we'd pass to the wing then the move would break down.

 

More attacking and making the most of areas left by their 10-men we could have scored maybe 2 or 3 more.

 

On the whole can't complain after traveling 240 miles round trip, and that for a 'dead rubber' it wasn't too bad. Mind you, them going down to 10 sealed it, and I was never concerned about the final result - I wasnt even click watching at 90 mins!
