Only Derby can answer that, maybe they could not sell the home tickets. They definitely would not have that problem against Forest last season.

As explained in the Match Thread, police decision on the likelihood of trouble, Vale had the category A limit. So Oxford must have a lower ranking.

I don't see the point in that. The away fans are the last people who should be disadvantaged, I'm sure most Derby fans would rather see a full away end today. It's not their fault what's happened with our allocation.

The real issue is why the police are allowed such a big say in what we get. As for deeming it a high-risk fixture, we've not played them in decades so where is the recent and relevant precedent?
