Over 21K since 4th March. That really is an amazing amount of money. Well done to absolutely everyone who's donated any amount large or small.

And to think Oliver was working night and day to protect the club from fans like this.

I know this has been mentioned on another thread but surely it deserves a thread of it's own. A fantastic effort and a HUGE thank you to all who donated and collected, not to mention our fantastic supports club and all involved.

Wow! What a great effort!

There is something in this generosity in the longer term for me. How do we harness this kind of giving on a regular basis to help fund a player(s) in the future. There will be fans who just can't make matches and/or fans that would like to do more than just pay on the gate to help move the club forward.

Thoughts on a scheme to donate on a regular basis to support furtherment on the pitch, a little like payroll giving type approach OR TEXT a £5 to help fund a player etc etc

It'd definitely be great if we could get a scheme similar to that going. Even if we could get 2,000 people to donate a fiver a month, 10K a month going into a fund to use, as you say, for furtherment on the pitch. Maybe we could think of something that wouldn't cost the club anything as a 'prize' each month. Say let 3 or 4 people per game sit in the Directors box. You'd have to do it so that they still had to pay to get into the game or use their ST, but they'd just have the chance to watch the game from a different perspective.

The club already do stuff like that with Unlucky 7, shirt off the back and golden goal, they must be making from all of those, UL7 is a rollover every week, golden goal is £15.72 and shirt off the back costs 'em a fiver plus Football League badges.

Up until SeO I contributed at all of the above and still did UL7.

I do agree though that it would be great to have a regular contribution, after the last couple of games throwing stupid amounts in I need to calm down, I'd be happy to give £5/game trouble is that it would always be the same people giving.

I like the extension to that Caz, a little bit premium bond esc... all those that have contributed get the opportunity to go into the post month prize draw. I think for me it's about making it worthwhile and the difference for me between this idea and shirt off the back etc is this is continuous thing, you can see the revenue stream in advance in some ways...

Needs more thought about how it'd work operationally with any new owner etc but im sure it'd generate considerable interest if positioned right!
