Not a nice thread, but this is the reality we are faced with.

What would you do?

You are faced with having to appease creditors who need convincing that all is being done to maximise their debt recovery. On the other hand you need to keep the football customers happy, otherwise gates will drop and thus revenue is affected...

Do you take out Adams, Rico and Loft - leaving supporters turning away in droves

or

Do you take out Rigg, Morsy, Martin, Grew, Page ?...

So, without knowing whats in the bank, it's hard to judge, but we know that we need to make cuts :- Who do we remove from the wage bill?......

You play Alan Sugar or Bob Young. Who's fired?

I'd be looking at all Deakins staff first of all that he brought in and find out if they actually do anything

I'd probably also look at staff that could be replaced by volunteers

Also staff that are not entitled to redundancy

Gettiong rid of first team regular players just to reduce the wage bill is counter productive unless an income can also be sought from their departure.

I'd see about adams getting a pay cut or 50% of his pay deferred, get rid of grew or horse as well as page and maybe 3 or 4 fringe players

As for Lodey, I don't see you could get rid of him yet, the club needs someone of his experience and to not replace him would cause problems without a secretary and CEO in place

Don't the government pay redundancy payments (if entitled) to any firm in admin?

His job is to reduce debt, it has no relevance how he does it so any player can be released....I wont turn my back if it's the better players who go either, however I'm sure some would

If he makes the wrong decisions and releases the fans favorites, then he will be reducing debt on one hand, then increasing it on another. Gates will drop, whether you are the biggest ,most staunch Vale fan in the world ... this will happen, because not all fan's are.

The administrators job is to maximise debt recovery and find a buyer to rescue and advance the business. In football administration, it's not all black & white ;) .....

I would wait until I had scrutinized the books then offer pay reductions to the high earners and make redundant the people the business could afford to lose..... my first priority would be the business and its safety

Sadly it seems some of your fans miss this critical point.
