Sorry if I'm stepping on toes by posting this, but given recent criticism aimed at the SC, I thought it would be pertinant to:

 

"As you may be aware, the SC also requested the club convene an EGM. Port Vale had 21 days in which to do this. This deadline has now passed, however, we would like to confirm the SC solicitors have been in talks with the club's solicitors and an agreement in "principle" has been made.

 

The SC has requested this agreement in writing and the announcement by the club of the EGM details by end of Monday. If this does not happen then the SC will be exercising our right to call the EGM at the earliest opportunity and at the expense of the club."

Maybe you could put that question directly to the SC commitee on Tuesday.

i must admit i have been a little worried, but as i said we have to trust the sc, they and the legal team are the ones with the full facts of the situation

 

acres and ray have just give a good plug for the meeting on tues and the statement regarding the egm

there is an agreement in principle between both sides solicitors. If we went ahead and called the EGM there could be a chance we would not be awarded our costs with the above in mind.

 

It is perfectly clear that no announcement of agreement in writing by 4:30pm on Monday and the SC will go ahead at the club's expense.

Im disapointed that;

 

A- the sc has decided to try & negotiate with the scum board

 

B- that they have given them a second deadline, do they honestly think the board would be so accomodating if roles were reversed.

Indeed. I don't want any lingering legal challenges over anything. As messy as it will probably get the last thing the club needs is ongoing legal fees from petty arguments.

 

Let's get it right and finish them off.
