Jimmy Goodfellow dies

One for the older fan, but former Vale midfielder/ winger Jimmy Goodfellow has sadly passed away.

He played for Vale in the mid sixties and and was a steady, if unfashionable player. Pretty much in a similar light to the recently departed Mick Morris in and around about the same period of our history.

Another of the Vale family to sadly leave us.

Too many of my former heroes are leaving us too soon.

I echo everything RR has said. Jimmy Goodfellow was also in my  memory bank from the sixties.

We had a poor team then but I think he was here for 2-3 seasons and scored a few goals for us. 

As you rightly say, another sad loss, so soon after Micky Morris.
