Does anyone else think that an impending management change at Rotheram, plus his goal last night, mean that Tom will probably be going back? Rotheram fans seem to think so. Especially as we are both fighting now to get back in the playoffs!

I think his loan is shortly to end anyway (end of March?) - unless of course it is extended to the season end.

If he does go back fair enough...........Bratt and co should strenghen the squad, we are still in the mix, we have no financial problems according to the board so it should be no problem bringing in a couple of quality players ===

After the Lincoln game next Tuesday. To be honest we need someon in the mould of Craig Davies from last season, pace and a bit of genius if a little out of favour with a higher league club.

I expect Pope to be recalled any day to be frank.

 

He is their player and I guess if they get a new manager he will want to assess everyone in his squad.

 

IF we are still serious about achieving something this season - and I think it's looking increasingly unlikely - we need perhaps 2-3 loan players in before the deadline. I don't expect it will happen but I'm fairly sure we won't see Gannon's other two current loanees again so we need strengthening.

 

Someone with pace and someone with good movement would help a lot.

Yea that is true, but they can put him in the reserves until the end of the season so he cannot score for us at the very least!

Yea that's what i thought, my point is im guessing that Rotheram probably will not want to extend, especially after he saved us a point last night and won us 3 against Bradford

I always thought it was a bit of an odd loan anyway. I'd rather have him festering in my reserves rather than helping one of my promotion rivals to gain points.

Acres just said on the Radio he thought it would be extended today as its deadline day, but the maximum length we can stretch it too is 93 days so if he did extend it, it would only run another month and he'd have to go back and miss the run in to the season and maybe play offs.

Rotherham wouldn't play him - 1) he's out of favour 2) it's surely a conflict if interests. Not only does he support us he's actually buddies with the players - it would be an undesirable situation for him

Pratt is in today's Sentinel saying he thinks we have enogh players to get us through to seasons end and doesn't expect Grewey to dip into the loan market.
