Surely Mo has the best opportunity to get every fan on his side by going out and recruiting his own manager? A big name that our current board couldnt attract due to their lack of footballing knowledge and lack of funds.

 

Go on Mo get a Danny Wilson on board with a decent budget, or a Hughton, or go for bust with curbishley.

 

I for one dont want the current clowns on the board appointing yet another disasterous manager.

It would have been inappropriate for me to have commented upon the managerial situation with JG in situ but now he has gone I can perhaps be a bit more up front.

 

I have already spoken to a number of decent candidates who have managed at a higher level and who ordinarly would not consider PVFC whilst in Div 2 (and I hope of course we will be Div 1 by the end of this season before I get shot down in flames).

 

However this is where knowledge, experience, reputation and contacts really come into their own. The prospect of Mo taking over, investing a significant sum and with me at the helm, is such that I have had some interesting and encouraging conversations. I am confident if we take over you will be pleased with the calibre of manager we hope to bring to the club.

 

However before people start to barrage me to divulge, I am not prepared to break confidences and so will not be answering any posts asking me to name people.

 

Of course all of this is conditional upon us succeeding in the bid, and so again it would be premature to name people.

 

My plea is to the board - Leave the managerial appointment until the bid is resolved at the forthcoming EGM. Geoff and Mark are more than able, capable and experienced to take the side for the remainder of the season and galvanise the players. PVFC does not need another managerial debacle. I am sure my plea will fall on deaf ears given the stubborn nature of the individuals in question but nevertheless I want to make my position patently clear.
