Stoke fans voting on owner poll

A 30 second look on Google Images could quite easily see a t*t for tat exchange about the relative merits of Vale and Stoke fans.

 

However mocking people who we know nothing about based on their appearance always seems pretty low to me. But then reading some of the personal observations about Vale's new stand in Chairman it appears no one's off limits for some on here.

 

Just my opinion but pretty sad really. And yes I would treat some of the responses on the Smurthwaite Oatcake thread with the same misgivings.

Take a look at your own forum and see the bile and hatred towards a team they don't care about, over 1500 postings many wishing extinction for Vale or non-league at best.

The tone and language of some of those characters is not banter.

I for one do not hide my despise for Lard or the plastic wannabees who will drop them like a stone once they are back in the Championship.

I don't speak for the rest of The Oatcake I speak for myself so not sure what your point is?

 

My point is that if you do not like people like myself HATING Lard and their fans then do not come onto a Port Vale forum and expect me to wish them all the best.

They call us the unwashed, Vile, etc etc so do not expect all Vale fans to hoity toit with your lot.

I occasionally go on the Fat cake for a gander though i don,t make over 4000 posts, the actual vitriol and hatred on there is incredible.

Remember putting a bit of banter about Lard on Facebook, nothing heavy , one reply was from a Sjoke fan wishing I would get knocked over , horrible lot!!!

I'm not expecting anyone to wish anyone the best. That's not what I said at all.

 

So if one of the fans in those photos had learning difficulties or a disability (they may have who knows?) it would be equally as "hilarious" ?

 

Despise everything about SCFC you'll get no arguments from me, but personally attacking someone by the way they look never sits right with as far as I'm concerned - Stoke fan, Vale fan, random person in the street or otherwise.

 

I agree. I've met the person on the right several times and he's one of the nicest people you could wish to meet. His Dad has done more for local football than 99% of the people on here and comments about his looks are nothing more than vile bullying.

That doesn't make you any better than them though on that point. Surely live and let live?

 

All seems a bit pointless and childish while we are so far apart.
