Cash Turnstiles suspended?

Apparently the cash turnstiles are suspended for today's game. They are not accepting cash, only postal orders or cheques.

 

The new Assitant Marketing Director, April Folos-Dya confirmed

 

"We are keen to move with the times and this initiative is a clear indication that we will do just that. We have listened to the fans and know that many of them prefer the ease of writing out a cheque or paying by Postal Order. We were overwhelmed by the popularity of the recent 2-for-£30.00 offer and we want to build on that success that saw well over 3 people take advantage of the offer.

 

Supporters are urged to take their cheques to the Ticket Office along with 4 forms of identification.

 

All supporters paying by cheque or postal order will be added to a new database and receive regular faxes about other great offers.

Stupidity!

Cheques, disliked by the banks and government are gradually being fazed out. Walking to the ticket office and than again to the persons choice of viewing is an extra burden on the disabled and the elderly.

This no cash turnstiles is not for the benefit of Port Vale customers but for the administration and the chairman.

Any sales man/business person knows that it is always best to make it as easy as possible for customers to make a purchase.
