I would take the captains armband of mcCombe as i dont think that he has played as well as he did last season.

Exactly and to play 3-5-2 means during the game you have to play 5-3-2 as well which means the wing backs have two positions to play, I don't think we have those players to do that, the personnel we have must play it simple, I'd love to hear the players view on this, I suspect they'd be comfortable with 4-4-2.

Yes don't think Collins is the right build to play wing back may be green and Taylor could, it does ask a lot of the players in that position but should make us more solid and adaptable if they can sort it out.

Most of the players are young boys and would do what's easiest for them, the problem I feel is at grassroots level.

I agree with you Phizz...4-4-2 is about as unadventrous as it comes and most teams in professional leagues know how to deal with it. Any formation needs to be flexible, whether it be 433 or 451 or even - shock, horror - moving away from a flat back four and playing a deep lying player behind the two centre backs with the ability to bring it out or playing wing backs and a flat back three.

Haven't we still got the same players and staff who got us to 1st in the league last year by playing 4-4-2 at home and, occasionally, 4-3-3 away?

What's changed?

On the other hand, it's the same side that got us to 10th for the last two seasons over the course of the campaign. Perhaps nothing has changed? Perhaps that's the problem!

We've conceded three goals to a team who got spanked by Macc the week before - I think we know where the problems are this season (the defence) and formations to me don't need a lot.

You've got to go and get a least a point against teams like AFC Wimbledon - in my view defeat isn't good enough.

We all know that the reason for ending up 10th last season was the change in staff - so, I'll ask again... what's changed?
