With the amount of running work we have put in this week its just good for a few of the boys to put the ball in the net... The main aim of this weekend is just to get out on the pitch....With tired legs for some i'd imagine..

Still.... nice to win tho.....:D

 

Right on this one, it's just a work out. People shouldn't be getting so worked up about the result.

 

The real test begins when the season truly kicks off, history has shown over many seasons that pre-season counts for precious little as long as we hit the ground running come August.

wayneamyloo and Princey.....I take it Stafford is a bit to far to travel for you pair of clowns.......God help the exiles next year when you pair are spouting on here when Vale are at HOME as usual.....:rolleyes:

 

I dont think it was a problem them going to Stafford Jimmy.It was the finding their way back home .:shifty:

it was interesting what mark grew said in the sentinel today, the players would have been fined had they returned for training 2lb overweight, but none of them were even a 1lb over, they are all very fit, great news , shows the players are going to give it ago,

 

Shame they didn't show the same courtesy when Micky left last season! That said shows the sign of a good manager when he commands such respect.

well didn't gannon have a system that didn't push fitness, i think that was the problem they lost their fitness

A five year old could have worked that out about 4 weeks after he first signed for Vale.

so whats his trouble then, for me i'm not sure he's an out and out stiker,i think praps an attacking midfield position would suit him better
