Season Ticket Fiasco

Has anybody else had trouble with their season tickets this season?

 

I collected the tickets for myself, 7 year old son and a close friend a few days after the club announced they could be collected.

 

I didn't open them envelope until match day. Went to our seats to find that we were in a completely different location to what we asked for and my 7 year old had his seat 61 seats away from us!

 

Approached ticket office last week to have them changed. After 4 attempts at getting the name against the category right (had both adults assigned to u9 tickets) we walked away with our new tickets in our specified seats.

 

Went to the gate for the donny game only to find our tickets didn't work. Little bit embarrassing. Headed back to the ticket office to get them changed once again. We're not able to change them at the time so issues tickets and advised we need to go back mid-week once the technicians have investigated.

 

OK, we appreciate teething problems so accepted the outcome. Then heading to seats to find out that the seats had not been marked season ticket holder seats and people were sitting in them...!

Unfortunately these things very occasionally happen.

I suppose if we've sold about 3,300 tickets the odd error might occur, but it doesn't help you much.

 

You really should have checked the tickets when you got them. Why leave it for a few weeks before opening the envelope?

Great game though wasn't it......

 

I could moan about not being let in (at first), I was late and turned up just before the beginning of the second half.. Jobsworths all around, but I appreciated the protocols involved (?) and their general lack of intelligence.. Eventually a voice came over the airwaves from the military standard Walkie talkie, 'Oh just let him in!'

So I was in and missed the second goal

 

Fantastic game though! Love it!

It's just frustrating that we encountered issues against Gillingham, spent time midweek getting it resolved only to have the fiasco we had on Saturday... Norman did come to us and ask us what the problem was to which my mate explained to him whilst I queued up...

 

Just a hindrance more than anything... Incompetence on the Ticket office behalf.

 

But to your statement.... Great game!!!

The only problem I encountered was when I asked for the last Seat in Row S by my mates I was told that, that would be seat 206 as thats all it goes up to. I suggest the girl in the ticket office inspects said area during her Tea Break.

 

Why can't they put a feed from the CCTV cameras in the ticket office and then the YTS kids dont have to get off their *****. They can just pan an empty stadium and see what seats there are, their locations and the numbers on them . This would also eliminate future events of a similar nature - The paid staff member could also turn the monitor around so that the Paying customer could see the seat(s) and confirm that it was the seat(s) being requested. In the old days it was known as

Mind you I suppose that is rocket Science and far too complicated to understand.
