Due to my employer messing around with attendance patterns, I'm only able to attend a maximum of 14 home games this season. I missed last weeks game as a result of this. I dutifully went to the Ticket office this morning to get my ticket for today's game and asked for a Flexi-Ticket as well. I was then made aware that these were only available up to the end of July as a special offer. Fair enough, if I missed this on the Club Website. However, I fail to see the logic of withdrawing it when there must be more people than me willing to part with hard-earned.

I saw someone turned away from the ticket office recently when trying to buy a flexi ticket. Seems a strange approach to business to turn away over a hundred pounds on the off chance that you might get a bit more money over the next couple of months from the same punter.

Strange decision as you would think the club would encourage sales until the last 10 home games of the season.

 

Well worth asking Smurf as I presume there is a sensible reason as to why this is the case or maybe he will see this thread and provide a reason?

Because that discount is for cash up front. He would now rather you pay match day price and also creates that incentive to have one when they are out , rather than hold onto cash and wait.

It could be that the brains in the Vale backroom are conjuring up some ticket specials, even as we sit here. ;)

 

It might be an idea to do something for the Millwall and Wigan games, along the lines of West Brom's packages they are advertising right now:

Yes but less than paying on the day. So you could buy your 10 matches online now and pay up front , if you like. :)

i would sell more flex tickets but charge an extra tenner or so for those jumping on the bandwagon after a bright start.

Why make it hard for people? Sell the ten match tickets at a discount and you get the money whether they attend 10 matches or not, but they probably will. With pay on the day, one bad game can stop someone coming again for a while and there is zero revenue from that. First rule of business, if someone is trying to give you money, take it.
