Why is everyone saying how superb he was under Adams? In my opinion he had nothing more than a handful of decent matches and 2 superb matches (QPR and Shrews) the rest of the time he was way below average. Rotherham fans said best thing they did was get rid of him.

That's a fair point, Jean.

 

My worry is that Roberts' career has followed a similar pattern: plays well for a few months and then goes off the boil.

Maybe no-one can get inside his head and make him realise what an opportunity he is wasting. Thinking about it, you are spot on. He didn't even get to Xmas before his form dipped.

 

I wonder if he was back in the hostelries as he didn't look fit and hardly moved from a 20 yard square box, just outside his penalty area towards the end of the season.

 

He was twice the player when he was fit and mobile and making forward runs.

 

But I really do think he's on borrowed time now. There is no other option for him.

Well thats true, but I dont know how people can say he is the best player in the League, doesnt assist or score enough goals for me.

I think he is a great player who has problems. We wouldn't have a player of his ability otherwise. I believe Mickey will be able to keep him in line. Lets stay behind him as he is the sort of player who needs to be appreciated.
