Vale Vaults all set up

Brilliant Rob, thanks a million for your efforts. Found the quotes really interesting and entertaining.

If you haven't seen the exhibition here's the gist of a couple of quotes see if you can guess who they were talking about ..

Phil Sproson said of an ex team mate 'off the pitch he is so pleasant and a real gentleman but once he puts a pair of boots on he turns into a psychopath'

Robbie Earle said of another team mate 'he used to get so psyched up before the Derby games against Stoke 'we had to tie him down on a leash'

Can you guess which ex Valiants they were talking about?

Ron Futcher, Andy Porter.

A big well done from both myself and Phil! I know just how hard you've worked on this Rob and it's a credit to you. I can only echo what others have said. It was wonderful and bought back many happy and not so happy memories.

Thank you so much for doing this. I don't know where you find the time  Having said that, you've only got a full time job, a full time family and OVF to sort ;) I'm sure that Jo and the children will be pleased to be able to share a little more of your time now that the exhibition is finalised. Having said that, I'm sure you'll have something else up your sleeve........quite soon ;)

Well done Rob

I can only echo what everyone has already said, above.

A wonderful trip down memory lane with information about the Vale going back many years, including black & white TV clips of the Cup run in 1953-54 (which I especially 'enjoyed') and newspaper cuttings, pictures and photographs from even earlier times. It brought back happy memories from my own lifetime, watching the Vale since the early sixties.

Cheadle, Steele, Leake, Sproson, Lowe, Lee, Rudge, Foyle, Earle, and the rest of 'em. Great times.

A lovely way to spend 30-45 minutes. Thank you for all your hard work. It was very enjoyable. Your efforts were very much appreciated.

Thanks for the comments, I'm delighted everyone who went enjoyed it.

It didn't contain everything but I'm happy with myself that I did the best I could in the circumstances, so I'm pleased it was well received.

I don't think there will be another exhibition, at least from me, anytime soon.

The pure logistics of being in Aylesbury and putting something on in Burslem made it difficult.

But I'll never say never... after all there's a 20th anniversary of a certain Port Vale fans' website coming around soon...
