Christ we can all pick out a few bad games for any player certainly who has played for us in the last 10 years. Pope had a shcoker of a season when he scored 5 goals, Yates, Dodds, McCombe have all had far more shockers but they should be respected for representing the club and never booed.

Won't boo him any more than any other ches player . He is just another very poor ex player . As a positive though , he could run very quickly in a straight line , wore brightly coloured boots and had nice hair !

He was one of those players who very rarely turned up. His performances in General lacked any kind of effort at all and didn't deserve to wear the vale shirt. Then to make it worse are his actions regarding loft which were disgraceful. He's a **** nobody is being bitter everyone just realises what a massive *** he is.

He helped a certain other striker score a hat full and that player has struggled for goals since he left us. Meanwhile Pope has continued where Richards left off and become the star striker.

Strikers are judged as goalscorers and strike rate ultimately as Pope admitted himself and Micky alluded to during his last two excellent seasons. Holding the ball up is great as is winning headers but non-league is littered with people that could do that but couldn't score - where for instance is Kyle Perry now. Pope thankfully turned the corner through no little of his own effort and through Micky's development.
