If he feels he is innocent then surely he won't apologise. If he wins his appeal will his "victim" have to serve any jail time?

At the moment until proved otherwise in a court of law she is a victim (and perhaps people should show a bit of sympathy to a victim) NOT a "victim"... If the appeal is successful (and surely with that overwhelming "evidence" (quote marks deliberate) it should be) then it will be time to call her something else...

And your proof for your claims are what?

Things people have written on the Internet.

Yeah, everything on the Internet (especially from people who are friends and family of the accused) is going to be unbiased and correct. Ever been to a conspiracy website?

The judge and jury are impartial. Do you really reckon they would have made that verdict if that was the really what happened.

That's what is stated in the case files yes, these are not my claims this is the evidence that was given in court.

Let's not forget the jury are just 12 average people.

Why is she the victim though? Because she was drunk? Or because she is female?

The convicted rapist is what's putting people off, it puts him in the same bracket as offenders who drag people down entry's and force them to have sex. Or breaking into someone's house and raping them while they sleep, his crime is no where as horrendous as those crimes but yet they are all filed under rapist.

Well what should he be filed under? "A bit of a rapist", "Not such a bad rapist"?

I'm not sure for the victim in this case it's nowhere near as horrendous..I would not claim to be able to speak for her. I will speculate that some are possibly more traumatised by the "not so bad" rape than some are by the "really bad" rape...depends on the individual I guess.

Did you really just say that?

Rape is rape. It doesn't have to be violent or threatening.

Judy Finnigan made a similar point and was castigated. Here are some responses to her comments at the time which I feel are appropriate:

"Drunk girls do not deserve to be raped..."

"Rape is rape. Don't matter if your drunk or sober."

"The truly awful fact is that too many people don’t really believe in rape - whether they are on juries, on Twitter, or in their homes hydrating their prejudices by soaking up a story about how some terrible twisted woman “cried rape” against some really quite nice chap..."

We are after a prolific Striker for peanuts.

I read he was willing to go to Oldham in January for £400 a week, he would certainly fire us in to the playoffs.

I think sentence was very harsh at the time and should never have been convicted.

He needs to have his conviction overturned first should he be innocent otherwise I doubt he will play football in this country again.

I don't know what it should be classed under, but it should be changed. You class abortion as murder yet it's legal. People can take people's lives and not be classed as murderers. Lee Hughes is one. If you kill someone in self defence it's manslaughter not murder.

Now actually I've just checked and your point is ********.

Even on Ched Evans website (which is NOT impartial) it clearly states that:

"blood alcohol levels of approximately 203mg of alcohol/100ml of blood or approximately 2.5 times the drink drive limit;"

So, the test DIDN'T come back negative at all. It came back positive for alcohol and drugs.

Oh for goodness sake. That is the legal system. 12 average people presented with the facts. Unbiased facts not those as presented by the defence alone.

Jeez that's the point she can't remember because apparently she was drunk.

Report of the trial - "the defence claimed that both men had sex with the woman separately and with her consent..."

So, that is not the point. Evans did have sex with her (his defence team said he did) and she didn't give consent.
