Vote: Agree or disagree with Dyke's proposals?

With the end of the season, we no longer have a MOTM vote on the forum homepage.

 

So, I am going to replace that MOTM vote with a number of one-off votes.

 

This first one is simple - do you agree or disagree with Greg Dyke's commission's proposals for changes to the Football League/Conference?

 

These proposals include the introduction of PL "B" teams to a League 3 and that PL sides can loan up to eight players to a designated club (and have a say in how the loanees are used).

me too. I cant believe that some of the national poles have had this as a 50/50 response. Do people not realise that this will question the whole fabric of competition within the sport? It's a huge gimmick to pretend that the England national team will benefit from this! Spain have ben successful because of their team being based around youngsters coming through a fantastic youth set up at Barcelona and being given a chance to shine. It has nothing to do with B teams!

I think it's always difficult to get 100% as there are always the odd one who thinks its funny to go against the norm. But I reckon it will be in the mid to high 90% range.

 

Presuming the results are what they are (and to be fair, even if they are not) I will pass the results on to the "Say No to League 3" campaign group who have been in touch with OVF.

Had this discussion with a number of lads at work; a manu fan who now goes to watch West Brom but also likes Burton Albion, a Sunderland fan who goes to most of their games, a couple of Liverpool fans who watch them sometimes on the telly, a couple of Villa fans and a Wolves fan. All of them had no idea of the repercussions of Dykes proposals, only that it would benefit their clubs for the most part.

 

I'd sent them the link to the online petition and all but 1, the Sunderland fan, failed to sign it and his initial comment was 'what's wrong with playing Sunderland 'B''!

 

They really do not get it and these guys are supposed to be intelligent!

Disagree and I completed the online petition on that basis. I look at Spain and do not like seeing a team that can't be promoted in Barcelona B in the second level. Also they still send their best young players to another club - e.g. Everton and Deulofeu.
