To beat Coventry at home and draw away that's good isn't it? Especially when my season's optimism ended on the co-op car park listening to radio stoke pre Plymouth in the cup, mr Smurthwaite , lack of ambition, negativity and unfulfilled forecasts will not promote ST sales and increased pay on the day prices will not bring the fair weather supporters back to Vale Park.

dont know why you all think Adams will be gone, or why you think any of our players will attract other league 1 clubs with wages higher than they will get at Vale.

personally wouldnt be sorry to see Dickinson leave as he has the turning circle of the Queen Mary and gets done by pace.

that equalizer today Grimmer should have taken a booking for the team as soon as it was flipped over his head. yates should have done the same, Grimmer got back alongside him but didnt put in a tackle as he was in the box, he nutmeged Duffy, and then Neal came out feet first instead of spreading himself. so many opportunities to stop the guy none taken.

I think next season those you have mentioned will be gone and we will rely on our youth players.

Stand by for a rallying call from Smurf saying if you want these players to stay then get your ST NOW.Then he can blame supporters IF they go elsewhere.

that dross footie is still a million times better than league 2 last season,

even though we lost to Orient it was a million times more exciting than the so called quality footie on the box that night.

As good as it was,and yes it was good. There haven't been many like that though. It was a one off.

Dave, half an hour of excitement against Orient doesn't represent value to me.The previous game against Carlisle there was a guy who actually fell asleep in the Railway Stand only to be awakened by the roar of the Carlisle fans when they scored. That was after 30 mins.

Some numpties are blaming Griff.again, saying he was to blame for the two Coventry goals.

He didn't come on until the 85th minute, when we were leading 2-1?

Some Vale fans do love a scapegoat.

That's totally and utterly rediculous.

The first was yet another free header from a set piece when he wasn't on the field. I can't confirm who it was but a couple of the players had a disagreement about it including Pope again. The second was joke defending from Grimmer and Yates who always seems to struggle against pace and backs off and off.

To be honest aside from Neal and Duffy I thought everyone else was average or poor. The defence looked in danger every time Baker or Fleck has the ball, the defence panic striken with the exception of Duffy and the strike force failed in anyway to dominate a really small opposition defence. Today was a game for me that Willianson and particularly Pope could have dominated but we never took a chance to do so.

That all being said a point before the game would have been good, especially through the game in which to be fair Coventry we far better. Why Delfonso and Moussa were only on the bench I can't fathom.

Not sure if it's been stated elsewhere but the atmosphere at the ground was eerie. It sounded like reserve team game given the lack of home fans and small vale following.

Point gained in the end and it leads us to a run of games we can / should get some decent results in.

Today seemed the opposite of Tuesday. On Tuesday we dominated, failed to take our chances and got caught out a couple of times.

Today they dominated, we caught them cold a couple of times but unlike Orient couldn't close the game out and constantly looked frail.

Still the positives are it's another point towards a top half finish.
