Vale need a change of system the present one isnt working in this league...in fact it never was, because the actual football side of the game is what is actually required to get out of this league.

 

I would love to say Pope is someone who can make something out of nothing- but he isnt and relies 90% of the time on high balls into the box- of which many are consolations. Many brilliant goals like the one that just crept over the lines against Swindon and Wolves (ironically both home defeats like today!!)

 

Pope should not be dragged into defending and laying the ball off-instead he should be creating openings. 'Laying the ball of is what a lot of non league players do- i expect a bit more out of a league one professional!!!!

 

Look at the big picture...

 

Of all the rubbish we have witnessed today, players and manager alike, only carllllll can manage to have a go at the one player to played well.

Hopefully our form over the last number of weeks will finally put an end of silly play-off's talk, which was ridiculous to begin with. We still have a number of players in the squad who were average even at League Two level (Davis, Yates, Taylor, Griffith, Dodds, Myrie-Williams, Tomlin, Williamson etc) and of our summer signings none have them have done particularly well, Dickinson perhaps being the best of the bunch. Sure, Lines does have a bit of ability but he goes missing far too much and doesn't seem to be a player you'd want in the side when the chips are down. I think our players think that we've perhaps done enough to survive this season and are simply going through the motions - This is when the manager, Micky Adams, really needs to step up and motivate his squad of players.

 

The Wolves game could be a cricket score.
