Redknapp's Rant....

Recommended Posts

Sour grapes from Happy Harry?

I wonder what Woy Hodgson and that 'big lump' Carroll think of his comments.

You can choose any manager you like, without shipping out the old guard, changing the mindsets of the players and their clubs and indeed the entire country's youth set up we have no chance.

Harry doesn't think we will do very well in Brazil - no **** sherlock!

Interesting that he qualifies it at the end with "Roy has managed some of the biggest clubs in the world". Whereas Redknapp has managed...erm...

Utter <ovf censored>.

The issue is, and has been for a long time, the players are not good enough. If the likes of Capello and Sven cannot get us beyond the last 8 at a major tournament with their years of managing some of the biggest teams and best players in the world, what hope does a wideboy like Redknapp have?

I`d love to see England being able to knock the ball around, but how was Harry going to change the likes of John Terry (imagine Ryan Shawcross) in the limited time the England manager has the team? Our midfielders can`t seem to keep the ball let alone the defenders so the best option often is whack it up to the big lump and pick up the bits.

I thought the FA chose Hodgson to help build up the new place at Burton, to help us build for the future and as such seems a better choice than Harry whose clubs usually end up on their knees when he has left.

A bit worse than sour grapes - the opinion is negative, despicable and plain wrong and some might say it is an attempt to undermine and create problems for England and Roy H. This fella has only his own interests in mind, he only ever has and a look back at his record shows that.

I'm surprised he managed to get anything in print - didn't he claim he could hardly read or write in his tax-avoidance court case?

It has been said that this man is the footballing equivalent of the contents of a litter tray that hasn't been emptied for a month.

... the biggest clubs within an hours commute from his base in the Isle of Wight: Bournemouth, Southampton, Portsmouth, Tottenham, West Ham...

Makes you wonder why he was considered for England...

He lives in Sandbanks in Poole I think..many hours commute to Spurs, Hammers..only Bournemouth is really close

Anyway..IMO we fail cos we try to play a style that our players are no good at..passing and possession and the only style we are any good at..lump it up the field and chase down the scraps won't work against the top opposition as they'll always score against us and will have soooo much possession that we won't have enough chances

Personally think he's spot on, even though I can't stand the bloke. The FA and Co are absolutely clueless, all on a gravy train giving family & friends jobs within.

We've imported foreigner's into the English game, then when it does become the English game all the TV money clubs have squads full of African's or whatever.

Remember when our Youth played Chelsea in FA Youth cup? They fielded one English player, the richest clubs with the most money and best facilities would rather go and scout around Zimbabwe then go and watch local school football/ non-league.

Treat International like club football. First of all I'd stop any player playing a game who wants paying to play for his country. I'd tell the league clubs to **** off if they don't want a player injured. Its the biggest honour (Should be at least) to play football for your country.

The conspiracy theories are just stupid, there's a massive problem of clubs being bigger then the England team and the FA generally side with the 'elite clubs'.
