Burton, who are woeful, managed a draw at Wigan. They'll be even closer to the beach by the time we play them. I wouldn't write that one off. And Carlisle of all teams put 3 past Peterborough yesterday. I'm usually a realist but for some reason I can feel a 2021 DC-esque end of season daft form turnaround coming on. I'd take a draw on Monday too, just to keep the unbeaten run going and catch up on Burton. Wigan and Barnsley ballsed it up against Burton and Cambridge respectively but the fixtures are reversed Monday, with Wigan now playing Cambridge and Barnsley away at Burton. Hoperfully they can do us a favour this time around. What we really need to do is start winning by 2-3 goals though, that 10 goals conceded against Barnsley across both games is effectively costing us a point.

Be raging if I was a Rovers fan but great win, well done Vale. Shame about Barnsley and Wigan but we have a game in hand on Burton againt Pboro who let 3 in today against rock bottom Carlisle, and we can take 3 points off Cambridge on the last day. Been thinking about this intensely. It really is amazing that we have been so horrifically dogshit and yet we're only 3 points and a couple of goals off getting out of the drop zone. Until today we hadn't won in nearly 3 months. 21 games. It's unreal how others have been nearly as bad. Unbelieveably lucky. We're either going to do the most Port Vale thing ever and have all this enthusiasm destroyed come 5pm on Friday after another shitter performance or we're going to take it to the last day against Cambridge with a fit again Ikpeazu in a who loses gets relegated play off final. I would not be surprised if Clarke keeps Cheltenham up to Burton's detriment.
