Just been my local (Stoke fans pub) to watch the game against Sunderland.

 

1-0 up at half time, opposition a man down, lets defend the whole of the second half !!

 

I genuinely cannot understand any Stoke fan being happy with that mentality - I'd love to know what those who paid good money to go Sunderland thought about it!

I can never be bothered to watch them, even if they were on at my local. I reckon it would make my beer go flat anyway.

Having said that it was not only dire to watch tonight but also the ultra negative mentality - I don't think the Stokies there were very happy when he took Adams off for instance.

I think Adam looked even less happy.

 

By the way, that is the 18th Monday night live match Sunderland have played in a row without winning!

No it wasn't average my mate - that's just the point.

 

Premier League 'Average' is watching Fulham, Swansea, etc

 

What you saw last night should have convinced you to buy the circus ticket that one of your former managers suggested fans wanting entertainment should do.

 

I have not really watched your lot this season, just bits here and there when coming on last on MOTD, but last night was a real eye-opener it had no footballing merit at all.

I watched all 3 games on TV on the day.

 

Out of Yeovil v Sheff Utd, Brentford v Swindon and Sunderland v Stoke, the latter had the least quality.

 

I have been shocked at just how poor, not only have Stoke been this season, but the premier league in general.

 

The gap in quality is closing. Cup giantkillings are coming back and English teams in the champions league are being shown up.

Oldham beating Liverpool in the FA Cup.

Luton beating Norwich.

Our league champions humiliated in Europe.

 

Some strange results in some big competitions this season. More than usual.

 

I honestly believe thats why Man Utd have walked away with the league. Most clubs have gone backwards this year. Utd improved their squad with RVP.

 

The Champions league will be interesting next season to see if English clubs can get back on track.

 

Also, the lower end of the premiership is now not feared by Lower league clubs.
