Apologies if this has already been clarified but ......

 

are Vale the first club to start a Football League season in administration and end it with promotion? I can't think of anyone else doing it. :unsure:

 

Leicester went up to the Prem when in Admin but can't remember if they were at the beginning of the season. Ask Micky - he was manager!

Leicester were relegated from the Prem 2001/2, Adams took full control from Bassett, changed about 15 players. Moved from Filbert St to Walkers, but ran into financial problems and Admin Oct 2012, suffered a transfer embargo for most of the season. Lineker consortium brought them out of Admin for £10M + £20M loan on the ground, during the season, and Adams took them back up to the Prem. It was thought that Leicester had gained an advantage by having a lot of debts written off, so the 10 point deduction rule was brought in. Hence Adams must be the Admin promotion expert, able to achieve under trying conditions,
