Popes not good on the ball?!? I've heard it all now. Just because he's tall doesn't mean he has no technique. Look at some of his goals this season and Plymouth at home lady season. Pope is deceptively skilful and certainly not a "bench" striker. How many goals has he scored again......

I've made some daft posts in my time, but Cheeky's has to be in the running for top prize. If Pope didn't score another goal this season, he'd still be top scorer in League 2, unless Cureton has a good run in.

Supporters seem to be split 50-50 as to whether Pope's form has dropped or whether it's the changed system.

Rubbish!! Pope is not skillful and never will be. He lacks in technique and pace because let's face it if he had both of them he would not be playing in this division for sure because is strength and ability in the are is excellent

The signing of Daniel Jones has, in my opinion, raised the bar as far as signings are concerned. If we go up, any new signings have to be better than what we already have. Does Dickinson fall into this category? Sadly, I don't think so.

 

We're not in admin, we're no longer "cash strapped" Port Vale, don't forget. The new owners have shown in January they are willing to financially back the manager. We should be looking at signing players a class above now.

 

I agree too, Jones has raised the bar. His signing shows we should be buying players who can perform at league one level, at least

If he had pace and technique that matches his ability in the air he would be playing 2 divisions higher. Like JMW, Vincent etc they are all at vale for a reason. Not knocking the lad at all but he's not the perfect striker
