I'll admit that in the past I've defended the board to the hilt. I'll admit that in the past I've stated I will support the club whoever is in charge, whatever division we are in. Simply because that's 'what I do'.

But no more, this season even with Micky in charge he was merely 'papering over the cracks'.

The board have treated me with total disdain, disrespect and utter contempt, they have strung me along once too often so no more for me.

I'm unbelievably unhappy that it's come to this but the board simply will not listen and I for one will not allow myself to support them whilst they remain.

I do not agree with Mark's original post, I fully understand his frustrations but I will not denounce any Vale fan for his/her beliefs.

I will say this, in my opinion the board are suffocating the club to a point where people will leave and not return. I fully believe that if Mo and Mark's bid is not accepted before the start of the next season then Mo will withdraw completely and the board will think they 'have won'.

The worry for the future of Port Vale Football Club will be as to what cost?.

Bratt & Co are the clowns for standing in the way of genuine progress oh and of course the majority of the players for thinking they were far better than they really were.

i looked around me in the stand the last home match at all those mocking me for wearing a scarf all those who told me we don't need mo's money bratt will see us alright ,he only wants the land, that leaflet is all lies blah blah blah

I have done the same mate, so if you can't win the war don't fight the battle.

 

I've done what I can to try and get fans to at least listen, think for themselves, and make a decision.

 

All I asked was that if they were against Mo what were the factual reasons and like we all know there are none.

 

The sun still shines out of Bratty's bum for so many of them - he alone saved the club you know. Without him there wouldn't be a Port Vale now (which is a complete myth BTW the person who got the £1M loan that saved us was ex Director Geoff Wakefield).

 

The great shame is that the people who have a little more vision have already either - stopped coming - or decided not to come next season.

 

So, those 'true Vale fans' will be able to enjoy their 3,000 crowds of happy ambitionless dreary pre-Rudge resurrection.

I respect what you say Caz and have a great deal of respect for you, you're one of the nicest people I know. However, I believe you're wrong on this so we'll have to agree to disagree.

 

According to your logic, that means you aren;t a real Vale fan either.

 

No one has any right to make an imaginary cut off point and say, "I was wrong, but now that I'm right any one else who isn't right isn't a real fan."

 

You could just as easily argue that ANY person who has ever supported Bill Bratt isn't a real fan.

 

Where does that put you now Twitters? Not a real fan?

Fair point Caz. My rant was aimed at the likes of RobbieH who have access to the facts but ignore them. We need educate those who don't have access to any facts and I would exclude them from my rant!

I do get the impression that the board are winning due to apathy. They thrive on it - that and ignorance. I had a row with a guy earlier in the week about Mo. His argument was Mo is "tight with money" and "not a Vale fan" (yawn) and he believed that "we wont have a club this time next year if Chaudry takes over". I pointed out that that will happen under Bratt and his reply was "still better than Chaudry". No real reasons, no real idea.

 

My pessimistic view is that the EGM will be lost on a poll vote, despite everyone in the room voting the Board off. Mo & Mark will de-camp to Crewe. Our crowds will fall to 2,500 and we will appoint Grew permanently. We will then default on the loan and do a Luton. BSP for 2012/13. At this point, the board will go, having gathered up any spare cash not held by the administrator and we will be taken over by some tinpot consortium.
