Morsy was awful, not suprised he was subbed but must be detrimental to his confidence. Roberts did ok when he came on shame about the two wingers not getting involved and Rico haveing a mare.

Proof of what? Him liking the sauce? Open your eyes. The guy is like a ****ing fish.

 

Since he improved at Torquay, I don't see any reason to keep bringing up what has gone before. As I have previously alluded to, drinking alcohol may have nothing to do with his recent dip in form; all manner of things could have had a negative effect on him. I don't know him personally or professionally, so I can't categorically state the cause of his lack of form. Can you name one Vale player who has played consistently in virtually every game this season apart from Boom? I can't. Have they all got drinking problems? I have seen Pope, Dodds, Rigg and Marc Richards out in town before, but no-one is blaming our cr@p results on them drinking too much. I judge Roberts solely on his performances without trying to decipher root causes based on rumour and hearsay. In my opinion he exhibits: great talent 60%, goes missing 20%, plays poorly 20% - New contract? 100% must for me.

Roberts didn't do an awful lot on Saturday. The game seemed to bypass our central midfielders - particularly Morsy who barely touched the ball.

 

I still think he's a better bet though than Morsy in key games.
