I am an owd git, sing my t**s off at all games, swear like a trooper at every game, all because I am bl**dy passionate about the Vale. Some people might say "grow up" but top and bottom is I LOVE my PORT VALE just like those so called "yobs" on these trains.

Did the tree actually fall? As no one was there to witness the event how can we be sure?

 

But the answer is yes it does in that it causes sound waves but no one is there to actually hear them

 

Sound is a perception though, so if no one is there to perceive them, surely no sound is created?

Interesting point...IMO though the the tree creates sound waves and so is creating a sound..that's why they are called sound waves

 

There could be a recording device there and it will record the sound and may later present it visually (via some sort of display device) clearly showing that sound occurred..if it hadn't there would have been nothing to record

 

But this is perhaps not the place to discuss this?

The general gist of this is that fans ought to have some respect for the people around them. I've used 'choice language' most of my life but I've done my best never to use it in front of women and children.

The worst i've seen is Birmingham fans on the way back from Stoke a few years back. They are utter filth.

Very true that. Brum are a horrible Football club with some awful fans.

One of my fav children's songs 'we'll smoke where we want and we'll **** when we want to' going to sing it at Xmas with all my family gathered around the tree

 

U will regret that when they grow up and sit with us at the back of train :)
