alot of people have knocked him but since richards gone we seem to gel better

I feel the need to eat humble pie. He's already scored more than I thought he would in the whole season. The quality of ball he now gets has helped. Plus he isn't having to do the work of two men.

Those offering to drive Louis Dodds to other clubs, should ask for a slice too. Mind you, we ignorant supporters knew the role he should have played years ago.

you not the only one who thought that tony i thought along similar lines

always thought he worked hard for the team but at the end of the day he is a striker so goals count

The Sneyd Green Sniper is quite simply a goal factory. The more chances you put on the conveyor belt the more he scores.

According to Wikipedia Pope has scored 37 league goals in his career. That means that in 7 games this season he has scored nearly 22% of his total league goals. In his other 163 league appearance he has scored 29 goals. Let's hope he can score as mean in a season than he has in the whole of his career before this season.

I would still welcome another addition to the squad though- you know what it is like when injurys take hold and i fear we would lose somebody in the transfer window, should a buyer not be found. Sad but very true the club need money and Young will not deter buyers for players like Dodds, Pope and Myrie Williams.

 

 

Should the above not happen, I would be very surprised if more than one club finish above Vale this season.

From what I saw last night I think Fleetwood witnessed just how big a gap they have to close before they can be classed as genuine promotion contenders. Having sorted Rotherham & Torquay, the other fancied teams, I don't know who Fleetwood expect to beat us to promotion at these early stages other than Gillingham and maybe Exeter.

 

I don't think the leaders nor Exeter have faced the bookies tips for promotion like we have. I don't fear anybody in this division and Grewy pretty much stated the same a few weeks ago. So I am enjoying the moment and I am being positive for the 1st time since MA first arrived.

 

On another positive note, I think our "rivals" (other supporters as well as teams) in this division should now be showing us the respect that our results & play deserve/warrant.
