Probably reading too much into the selection.  Someone complained before the Reading game that Lomax was on the bench ahead of Shorrock.  Shorrock gives the manager an extra attacking option. Jones probably isn't 100% fit for a match and is really only a leftback in a back 4.

He played leftback against us for Harrogate.  He's played both positions although he better at LCB.
