Kyle Hudlin signs for Burton. So that's one less donkey on the market for us to get tempted by.

Feel like we dodged a bullet.

Have you seen him play m8

At this point I'd like Reggie back in fact alongside Wilson think he be a revelation .

We need someone wonder who it will be .

I'm sure there working hard get some players IN

Patienceeeeeeee

Reckon Hudlin was a target but I think he will turn out to be <ovf censored> so glad it hasn't worked out

A few wanted him on here in the summer and I was glad then we didn’t get him. We’re desperate for strikers but that Dosent mean we should sign any old striker, made that mistake on deadline day in the summer. I imagine we were interested with Uche out and I’m very glad he’s not joining us.

If we don’t make any signings before the deadline I think even I’m going struggle defend them

To be fair mate I’ve not watched him play since his Solihull days. His record on loan at Wimbledon is not good reading and that’s is the only EFL experience he has. Not a profile of player we require for me.

Hold your nerve mate and see what deadline day brings. I have little confidence to be honest and just expect more BS from Flicker on Friday why we couldn’t get deals done.

How is it post of the day , just because you agree with it.  I am getting tired of the injury situation and that being our excuse for being rubbish since September and outside the drop zone because of Reading's point deduction.  We like many other teams in our league and throughout football are dealing with injuries because football is different than years ago, more games, less recovery time, players not playing through the pain barrier, scientists telling managers when and when they can't play and many more issues.  This is why it was criminal to go into a season with one recognised LWB in grant who missed virtually the whole of last season.   After the window shut, we had a forward line of Wilson who we know from the past has never been able to stay fit regular, 5th choice striker from Bristol Rovers and Thomas who had never kicked a ball in the football league, we then a month later sign a player who has not played for 6 months who took 3 months to get anywhere near fit.  We choose to give Jones a 2 year deal who we know has spent more time injured than fit.

I keep hearing all these injuries but the nucleus of that team Ripley, Smith, Ojo, Arblaster, Devine Ojo, Garrity, Chislett were all fit for that awful run from September to December, they may have missed the odd game but other than Clarke I fail to see who we have missed as Wilson despite being quality, we should have been expecting him to miss and plans should have been in place for this.

I just fail to see how without 2 forwards one of which needs to know where the back of the net is how we are going to go on a run that will see us comfortable in mid-table, the defence is leaking goals and can't keep clean sheets and we need 2 or 3 goals to get a result.

We had the Yak,  Jones. Balmer, Cass, Debra and Lowe all missing at various times. Clarke. Grant and Plant Chislett had a couple of knocks that kept him out too. . Wilson Loft and Uche was building his fitness then Thomas carried off playing for Wales. Since then we have lost Arblaster, Devine. Ojo and now Uche.

It would be far easier to say who hasn't been missing through injury.

Shouldn’t since so many injury prone players and most on that list aren’t remotely good enough anyway.

The reason we have struggled isn’t because, Yak, Balmer, jones and Cass have been injured.

I get we have had some bigger players out, Wilson (expected) Ojo, plant but every side suffers this and we need to built the squad better so that we can cope - dosent necessarily mean more players, just better players and maybe a couple that are comfortable in a few positions.

Going the finances situation how many loan players do we have ?. 4 probably and how much are we paying them ? Very small proportion I'd imagine possibly, I don't know, more if we don't play them. After all that's why they are here.
Also small amounts for the youth teamers we are playing. So injured or not surely we can't be using all our budget on the remaining pros, not by what they've shown anyway.
Don't get me wrong I'm grateful for C&K but with the crowds we've had something doesn't seem right.
I maybe wrong cause I'm not privy to anything at the club but I'm sure in the past we coped with budgets and had better players. Are the backroom team taking 2 much out of the club ? The medical team is supposed to be top notch but injuries are taking awhile to recover.
Have I got it totally wrong?

It's a really poor transfer window we're relying on this that and the other happening and if it doesn't....

Yep, it seems to be a pattern in recent windows. Didn't the last two last-minute deals bring us Ryan Loft and Matty Taylor... it looks like we don't have much choice other than to hope one works out this time...

If we don’t sign a decent wing back and forward tomorrow we are going down. Absolute joke of a club.

Great post you've hit the nail on the head there

I feel all we will get is a left wing back loan aged 19ish from a prem club and nothing else
