No idea about this Young folk going on about him like he is Messi .

A player who signs for Vale is only as good as the team mates he plays with .

We will see cannot understand why Uches being allowed leave, for a player a league below ,we knew what we were getting with Uche gamely he was bringing his A game to the games ok he wasn't scoring  2 every game but he is about too in my opinion,  he was involved in everything what was good about recent performances .

Big day for Vale let's see if anything happens I feel it be a no incoming day. and 3 out .

Great preparation for sat .

Even if Uche does play now if he as got his heart set on elsewhere, then he may not perform so if wants go he goes with my blessing not happy about it though as long ball game will not be effective without him so be back to pass pass pass pass back to Ripley thump it too masseys head (has he ever won a header )and repeat .

Like I say big day especially if Uche is going as in theory you selling a player who was beginning shine ,like Grant and Alwnick were all them years ago when last got relegation from this league .

Bizarre stuff mind you reading comments on here about how awful they felt Uche was no wonder he wants out .

Be careful what you wish for

Thought you weren't going anymore...??  Do you need my address to post your season ticket...??

It won't be a lot of money for Uche. If we were demanding silly money, Charlton could just wait 6 months and get him for nothing in July.

Getting him off the wage bill after 2-3 good games (with no long-term value) and 10 average-poor ones, and replacing him with a player with as much upside as Young on a 2.5 year deal is fundamentally sensible business, especially as we're not going to be challenging at either end of the table in the next 6 months.

As with any lower league signing, you can't guarantee its success, but Young can clearly produce in the right system and won't be fully developed as a striker yet. For his Barrow loan, he never played a full 90 and only started 5 games - mostly on the left wing. Swindon have showed what a consistent run up front can do.

Sensible post.

Some say upto £250k..  Dream on

I think he's bang average. But it leaves a bitter taste in the mouth that we basically got him fit for another L1 club. He was woeful until recently.

I think he's gonna be a big problem for other teams.

" I have read alot of comments on here today about Uche Ikpeazu, some that I believe are a little unfair and disappointing.

I have said many times this week that we are looking for two 9's and I am alomost certain that not only will they be different to each other, but also different to what we have.

Ikpeazu is something we just haven't got and haven't had for a number of years. He is strong, quite quick and very good in the air. On top of that he has two good feet. I'm not surprised Wycombe want him back, he is a slimmed down version of Adebayo Akinfenwa and we all know what kind of physical presence he provided.

I'm going to go with the opinions of Port Vale fans over our own with this. After all they watch him every week while we have been cheering on the likes of Tedic.

I think he will be a very good signing."

I hope we get some good money from Charlton for him

Deeply embarrassing and deeply disheartening to see Uche is going. Whole season now in jeopardy. Even if we bring in another striker, we always needed another, not just a Uche trade in. Fed up of seeing the club let players under contract walk off mid season for the sake of a few grand.

We needed new faces, we have big injury issues as is. This window makes the Smurfwaite era and his “sweety jar” during the “honeymoon period” look like Father Christmas!

All this adulation for Carol, yet she has put in a mere £12 million over 5 years.

Daii Yoonge has put in over £200m into Reading in roughly the same time period,  yet their fans are now throwing tantrums for being tight.

How's this for size...??

It was reported that we offered £100k for Jake Young, but they wanted £200k and the deal fizzled out.  We get £100k for Uche and the Young deal is back on...??
