VAR cock up

Crewe caller on Praise & Grumble was demanding VAR for League Two. With the shambles in the Premier League it is scary to think how much of a mess they'd make of it in League Two, even leaving aside the expense of the stuff.

It is tiresome the whole "debate".

- Player gets given two yellow cards incorrectly / too harshly - WE NEED VAR TO LOOK AT YELLOW CARDS AS WELL.

- A tight VAR decision ends up taking an age - WE NEED VAR TO BE FASTER, PUT THEM ON A TIME LIMIT!

- A marginal call / mistake goes against a big team and VAR doesn't overturn it - VAR NEEDS TO BE GIVEN MORE TIME TO GET IT RIGHT

- A marginal call goes against a big team - IT WASN'T A CLEAR AND OBVIOUS ERROR, VAR SHOULDN'T GET INVOLVED!

- A marginal call goes in a big team's favour - well you have to praise the VAR officials there for getting it right.

Pundits demanded VAR, they demanded VAR be expanded far beyond clear and obvious, they demanded VAR to be quicker, they demanded a referee to review every incident. Now there's errors and they demand it be scrapped. If it was scrapped then in two weeks time they'd be demanding VAR be reinstated.

People have to accept there will still be human errors with VAR because it's still humans operating it. Some seem to think it's some AI computer that people have no input over. Having said that, someone sensible needs to look at VAR at get it working a lot better than it is, and not Gary Linekar.

And Debra should not have had the first yellow at Bristol.  The ref couldn't give Bristol a pen (not sure it was) because he wasn't up with play.  If the two were Grappling as you put it, how come it was Balmer who ended up on the floor?  My better half predicted Madley would give them a pen yesterday before kick off.  How did we know that?  Because he's bloody useless that's how.

And Arblaster should have been sent off against Burton

For every incident that you come up with, I can up with another & vice versa.

How did the incidents you mentioned alter result?

My point is that the Arblaster one (describe it) made no difference to the result because we lost anyway. The penalty yesterday put them 2 up and took the game away. I’m surprised you can’t see the difference.

Still waiting for your description of the supposed red card for Arblaster, Brian.

For an ex school teacher I'm very surprised you are being a bit simple on this but could be old age catching up with you.

The Arblaster incident, no difference to when it happened it game to the one's you are describing.

We lost yesterday or did you forget about that?

I have no recollection of Arblaster doing anything worthy of a red card in that game so quite frankly I haven’t the slightest idea what you’re talking about.

You must have been one of only a few people not to have seen it.

You also obviously do not listen to podcasts because it was discussed at length on the ale & vale podcast.

You seem to be missing a lot of incidents

Getting under my skin?  The only thing that does that is next door's cat who has rather sharp claws.

"Glad that I'm getting under your skin".    Actually admitting that you post on here to wind up other posters. Wow, how sad is that.

You would argue with yourself in a locked room.

And no,  when your abusive reply drops, I shan't be answering it. Bore
